Gongju City (Mayor Choi Won-cheol) is preparing to hold the Daebaek Festival, which connects Baekje's past and present, which was brilliant with Buyeo-gun for 17 days from this day to October 9.

The meaning and background of the 2023 Great Festival is

"This year's 69th Baekje Cultural Festival is being prepared as the 2023 Great Baekje Festival, which has been further expanded to commemorate the 1,500th anniversary of the death of the 25th King Muryeong of Baekje and the accession of King Seong." As it is the first mega event in 13 years since the 2010 Great Baekje Festival, more than 1.5 million visitors are expected to visit.
Just as the 'original K-culture' Baekje culture spread to Northeast Asia 1,500 years ago, it is making it a world-class historical and cultural festival. The festival's theme is 'Daebaekje, Connecting with the World.'
The main point of "2023 Great Festival" is
We will highlight King Muryeong who led the revival of Baekje through maritime trade and cultural exchanges. We will melt the contents of King Muryeong, who led the Baekje Kingdom, throughout the festival and provide a venue for the festival where people can break down, communicate and harmonize with each other by utilizing the unique characteristics of Baekje culture.

"We need to pay attention to Woongjin Castle Parade, which is a civil harmony event. Under the theme of 'Baekje Heung (興) Country,' it will start at Jungdong Intersection twice on Oct. 1 and 7, followed by Sanseong Market and Yeonmun Square.
The moving stage, which embodies King Muryeong, Baekje, and relics, will be used to provide unique and unique attractions unique to Gongju.
Ungjin Fantasia, a creative musical about King Muryeong's prosperous country making process and life story, is one of the highlights that should never be missed.
