Wanju-gun completed the four-season landscape project of Mangyeonggang-ro, which was promoted as part of the New Deal for Urban Regeneration in Bongdong-eup. First of all, a story house wall has been installed at the Sangsang Gongwon to introduce the history of Bongdong to visitors by capturing the history of the Mangyeonggang River, Bongdong Saenggang River, and the origin of Bongdong Ssireum.
In addition, a photo zone has been installed to take pictures against the backdrop of cherry trees and rivers that bloom in spring.
The embankment road has improved the anti-slip function with coating film pavement to enhance the safety of residents and the landscape. In addition, solar road boundary lights have been installed to enhance safety and aesthetics so that visitors can walk safely even at night.
On the banks of the Mangyeonggang River, two trick art works that create optical illusion are created to provide interest. Prospective decks and wood planters are also installed here and there where visitors can relax while looking at the view of the Mangyeonggang River.
In addition, a 32-meter five-colored tunnel is expected to create a shade to avoid the scorching sun in summer and be covered with beautiful flowers in spring.
In particular, night lights are also installed on Story Street Wall, Photo Zone, Five Color Tunnel, and View Deck to add coolness at night.
"Synergy is expected in connection with the Dongchang Sunshine Creation Center, a base facility in the urban regeneration New Deal project in Bongdong-eup, the Mangyeonggang Ecological Sports Support Center, and the purchase rental housing (LH) creation project," said Yoo Hee-tae, head of Wanju-gun. "We will further accelerate the attraction of 10 million tourists along with the four-season landscape project."
